1. Is the Campus Store open?

As part of Ryerson’s move to an essential services model in response to COVID-19, our physical store has been temporarily closed and will not be open when classes begin in September

While our physical location is temporarily closed, our online store is open to meet your back-to-school textbook, clothing and giftware needs. Please note that all orders for textbooks, course materials, e-books and access codes must be submitted online for fall 2020 classes. Please order your course materials as early as possible to ensure you have your required materials for the beginning of classes in September. 

2. How do I determine which print or digital textbooks and course materials I need for my courses?

Students are able to view all required print textbooks and course materials for their fall classes by visiting our textbook search page and entering their course and section codes. A list of required print materials will automatically be populated for you. Please note that textbook prices are subject to change.

Some courses also require digital course materials like e-books or access codes. Please visit the access codes / e-books (online) page and enter your course code to purchase any required digital course materials.

3. What are access codes?

Access codes are unique passwords used to access online course materials such as e-books. Each access code is unique to each individual and differs from course to course. Access codes generally have an expiration date and cannot be used to access course material after the course it is used for has finished.

4. Can access codes be returned?

No, access codes are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged. All access code sales are final. Please verify required access codes with your course instructor or syllabus prior to purchasing.

5. I'm having trouble activating my access code and accessing course materials. What should I do?

Students encountering difficulties accessing course materials via a purchased access code should contact the publisher. You would need to contact the publisher of you access code. Support websites for common access code publishers are listed below:

6. Can I share or sell my access code after the course is complete?

No, every access code is unique to each individual and can only be registered with one user. At the end of the course, your access code will expire, revoking any access to course materials and cannot be sold or transferred to others. All access codes have a time expiration limit.

7. Can I order clothing and giftware online?

Yes. A limited number of clothing and giftware items are available for purchase online through our website.

8. How will I receive items I’ve ordered online from the Campus Store website?

The Campus Store is able to ship online orders within Canada, the United States and internationally. We require approximately three to five business days between when you place your online order and when it will be processed for shipment. You can learn more about our shipping and delivery process on our shipping info page.

Our staff are required to abide by strict health and safety procedures including physical distancing, mandatory masks and face coverings, regular hand washing and the disinfection of surfaces in our online order fulfillment stations when packaging your items for delivery.

Please note that we are anticipating high volumes of online orders for fall 2020 materials and shipping timelines may be longer than usual. Please order all required course materials for fall 2020 classes as early as possible to avoid shipping delays.

9. Can I pick-up my online order in person?

Our curbside pick-up program for online orders ends September 18 at 4 p.m. Students who order items from the Campus Store website after September 15 will have them delivered to their personal residence.

Students who selected the curbside pick-up option for their online order but did not pick them up from the first floor of the SLC before 4 p.m. on September 18 may pick up their items from the OneCard Office in POD-52A. Instructions for how to arrange a date and time to pick up your online order from POD-52A can be found on the shipping info page on our website.

10. What is the Campus Store’s policy regarding refunds and exchanges?

Please note that the Campus Store is unable to provide refunds, exchanges or credit notes on textbooks or course books if their packaging has been opened as these items are commonly bundled with online access codes and e-learning materials. All e-books and access codes are final sale. 

11. Can I place an order with the Campus Storeover the phone?

Our staff are unable to place orders over the phone. At this time, all orders must be submitted online via our website. 

12. What payment methods does the Campus Store  accept for online orders?

We accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express.

13. Does the Campus Store have a used textbook buyback program?

Our used textbook buyback program has been temporarily suspended as a result of COVID-19. Please visit the buyback page of our website for more information.
